How did I not know about this sooner?

I am a cookbook whore addict and an obsessive collector.

The problem is, I will usually find only a couple of recipes in each book that I really love but by the time I get around to thinking about making something I can never remember which cookbook it was in. Add to that the thousands of recipes I collect from the internet. It’s a disorganized mess of potentially wonderful meals.
I recently stumbled across a very cool item which may be the solution to my problem. Well, my recipe organization problem, anyway.

Tastebook allows you to create a personalized cookbook using either your own recipes, or recipes you choose from the thousands of options of their site. Or any combination of both.

You choose the cover, add your personal title and start adding recipes - and your own photos if you like. It has a spiral binding that snaps open and allows you to easily add, remove and rearrange the recipes and comes with tabbed dividers.

You can get started with 25 recipes for under $20, and can order new pages to snap into your book at any time. Each book will hold a total of 100 recipes.

Not only great for yourself – but what a fantastic gift! Oh, and they have gift certificates. Start your Christmas shopping early – I think this is a winner.

My first Tastebook is in progress. Now I’m obsessively combing through my piles of cookbooks and random recipes to decide which are worthy of being in my first 100. Is it any wonder I never get anything done?

I love that idea. I did something similar on the cheap by getting a three ring binder and some clear plastic page holders at the store. Then I just type up and print the recipes and put them into the page holders and voila almost instant personal cookbook. Best part is that I can always spend a couple of bucks and upgrade my three ring binder if I ever actually fill up the one that I have!

I actually have a post on it in the works for Wednesday. I guess great minds really do think alike!

Oh yeah, I've got the binder thing going on, too. Lots of them. One of these days I am going to be SO organized. Seriously. :)

I look forward to your post tomorrow!!
